Out Now: The Doors, WAITING FOR THE SUN

Back in September 2018, Rhino celebrated the 50^th anniversary of The Doors’ third album, and oh how the band’s fans rejoiced. Well, most of them, anyway. Granted, there were some who didn’t have enough of a cash influx to be able to plunk down the requisite dough to pick up a copy of the 2-CD, 1-LP deluxe edition of the album. For those individuals, today is a very good day, one which – like the sun – we know you’ve been waiting for.

As of today, you can now pick up a copy of the 2-CD version of WAITING FOR THE SUN as well as the 180-gram vinyl version of the album…and, yes, we do mean that you can buy them independently of each other.

You already know what you’ll find on the LP, but as far as the 2-CD set goes, that offers not only the standard 11 songs from the original album, but also nine “rough mixes” from the original recording sessions and five live performance from a 1968 performance by The Doors in Copenhagen.
