Now Available: Aretha Franklin, THE ATLANTIC A-SIDES

You don’t have to work for Rhino Records to be in mourning for Aretha Franklin, who died last month, but there’s certainly a sizable chunk of the staff here who are. Fortunately, we’ve got a new release that will help remind folks just how much amazing music was left behind by the woman known as “The Queen of Soul,” and you don’t have to be on our label’s payroll to appreciate it.

THE ATLANTIC SINGLES COLLECTION 1967-1970 obviously doesn’t cover Aretha’s entire career, but it certainly serves as a top-notch sampler of why she was a legend. The 34-track set is now in stores, and it’s been released digitally, as a double-CD set, and as a double-LP set, too, although be aware that the track listing has been shortened in order to meet the constraints of the vinyl.

The songs contained within THE ATLANTIC SINGLES COLLECTION are some of the most memorable not only of Aretha’s career but, indeed, of the 20^th century. But don’t take our word for it: check out the track listing for yourself, so you can confirm as much. And don’t forget: it’s in stores
