Today is May 5, a day which, for some people, also doubles as the only phrase they know in Spanish besides “una cerveza, por favor.” Yes, that’s right, we’re talking about Cinco de Mayo, and you know us: we can’t resist putting together a soundtrack for whatever level of celebration you plan to indulge in this evening. Unfortunately, there aren’t nearly as many songs featuring the number “five” in their title as you might think, but there are more than a few that feature the word “may.” Granted, not all of them are actually using it in terms of the month, but between the quality of the music and the number of cerveza specials going on, we’re hoping you’ll let it slide.
