Instant Gratification: Prince, “Why The Butterflies”
As we inch ever closer to next Friday’s release of PIANO & A MICROPHONE 1983, the nine track, 35-minute album which features a previously unreleased home studio cassette recording of Prince at his piano captured in 1983, we want to do whatever we can to make sure that you don’t die from excitement while you’re waiting for this album.
As such, you might want to head over to Noisey, which is where you’ll be able to hear another of the songs from this impending release: “Why The Butterflies.”
So that’s “17 Days,” “Mary Don’t You Weep,” and now “Why The Butterflies” that you’ve had a chance to check out in advance. If you aren’t sold on picking up a copy of PIANO & A MICROPHONE 1983 by now, we don’t know what else to tell you.
Well, you know, aside from the fact that there’s also a version of “Purple Rain” on this collection which might make you break down a weep. We’re just sayin’, is all…
Anyway, here’s the full track listing for your perusal, and don’t forget: it’s coming next Friday!
